Ban Ki-moon commemorated July 12 Day Malala. The day is intended to represent
the goal of education for all children.
In honor of the
Pakistani child activist Malala Yousafzai, Secretary General of the UN Ban
Ki-moon, has extended its support to the young girl and her fight for
education, describing it as the "global" symbol right of all to
education for girls.
The Special Envoy
of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Global Education, former British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said on November 10, a month after Yousafzai was
killed by the Taliban for campaigning for girls' education Pakistan was
